Display screen equipment training.
Display Screen Equipment covers what long spells at a screen can lead to, from aches in the neck, back, shoulders and wrists to tired eyes, and what the law requires. It shows how to set up a chair, screen, keyboard, mouse and lighting, how to make a laptop and a home desk work, and why short breaks and moving often help. It finishes with a desk check at home and in the office.

Who it's for
Anyone who works at a computer, in the office or at home.
Under the Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations 1992, employers must assess the workstations of DSE users, reduce the risks, plan breaks or changes of activity, and provide an eye and eyesight test on request. Training helps people set up their own workstation well and report problems early. It runs fully online, with a 10-question check and a certificate on passing.
This course supports your employer's DSE workstation assessment but does not replace it. Anyone with ongoing aches, pain or eye strain should report it, and get advice from their GP or occupational health if it continues.
Narrated video lessons with captions, on any phone, tablet or computer. Fully online.
10 questions, marked by the system. Learners need 8 correct (80%) to pass.
Issued on passing, valid for a year, and kept on record for four years.
Assign it, set a due date and see every learner's progress and result.
